Vivo X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ is now official: price, specifications

Vivo has launched X50 series in China which consist of three smartphones: X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+. This X50 series features thinnest design, Snapdragon 765G chipset and high resolution camera.

Vivo X50 and X50 Pro

Display

The Vivo X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ features 6.56-inch AMOLED display with 2376 x 1080 pixels resolution. As for the display, the X50 Pro+ differs from other two in terms of refresh rate and touch sampling rate. The X50 Pro+ comes with 120Hz display and 240Hz touch sampling rate whereas X50 and X50 Pro have 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. All the three smartphone features HDR10+, P3 color gamut and 1300 nits peak brightness.

Camera

The X50 and X50 Pro has nearly the same camera specifications but X50 Pro+ has high megapixel count. The rear side of X50 features 48MP Sony IMX598 main camera + 13MP portrait lens + 8MP wide-angle + 5MP macro lens. For the X50 Pro, it gets 48MP Sony IMX598 main camera + 13MP portrait lens + 8MP periscope telephoto lens + 8MP wide-angle macro lens. Both the X50 and X50 Pro has OIS for image stabilization but there is difference in both the two OIS. The OIS on X50 is a traditional OIS while the X50 Pro uses micro-camera image stabilization which is better than traditional.

Coming to the X50 Pro+, it features 50MP main camera having Samsung GN1 sensor + 32MP portrait lens + 13MP periscope telephoto lens + 13MP wide-angle macro lens. The front camera on X50, X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ has the same 32MP resolution.

Performance

The Vivo X50 and X50 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and and up to 256GB UFS 2.0 (X50) / UFS 2.1 (X50 Pro) internal storage. On the other hand, the X50 Pro+ features powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset.

All the three X50 series smartphone have Dual-band 5G technology. The X50 and X50 Pro have 4200mAh and 4315mAh battery capacity with 33W fast charging on both. For X50 Pro+ , it gets 4350mAh battery capacity with 44W fast charging support.
